HEXA – Collaborative palletizing stations from Beboq Robotics

Palletizing, as an end-of-line application, is one of the primary tasks of collaborative robots. The Kassow Robots and Fanuc CRX cobots that power the HEXA palletizing station from Beboq Robotics excel at this. The solution is ideal for the FMCG industry, but not only. It is designed for flap boxes, automatic packages, wraparound, discount boxes, display boxes, trays and SRPs (that is, also all without top-grabbing capabilities).

The offered station is supplied as a complete device. Before it is built we test the products to be sure of the possibility of completing the task, we adjust our design, deliver, program, provide documentation and train the crew. We add to the solution, if necessary with a buffer-accumulator conveyor, on which we prepare the products to be moved by the robot. For example, when we move them two or more at a time. The whole can be supplemented with a printer-labeling machine.

Robotic palletization does not have to involve large expenses, infrastructure reworks, separation of significant numer of square meters and expensive specialists. Our palletizing stations can pay for themselves in as little as 10 months, and the savings from implementation can reach several thousand zlotys per month when using leasing. The entire implementation realizes the assumptions of taking advantage of the robotization tax credit, so you save even faster and more!

At beboq robotics, we specialize in collaborative palletizing, i.e., where the robot often works in tight spaces, or where the use of enclosure is difficult or impossible. We have extensive experience in handling not only traditional packaging, such as American cartons (with flaps), automatic cartons or wrap-arounds, but especially in difficult packaging – that is, without a top (such as discount and displays, where there is a loose canopy on the package (e.g. tray + lid), the top is closed by a push-on insert or the package is the tray itself). This is safe and effective solutions developed independently as well as with NCBiR support, and all verified in industry – on production lines.

What makes HEXA palletizers different?

  • Compact design – it can be as small as 1m2 + pallet
  • Possibility of stacking complex patterns
  • Stacking of dividers as standard
  • Possibility of stacking packages without top and trays (but not only, of course)
  • Easy to use and intuitive operator panel
  • Free of fences and safe (requires risk analysis)
  • Dedicated grippers for special packs and surface no changeovers for classic packs.
  • Ideal for diversified production
  • Always compliant with norms and standards, including ISO 15066, CE declaration and full documentation
  • Crew training and after-sales care
  • ROI as fast as 10 months
  • Rapid implementation of a comprehensive application – even in as little as 2 months.
  • Subject to tax relief for robotization

Technical parameters of palletizing stations:

  • For palletizing and deplatforming, we use Kassow Robots KR1410, Fanuc CRX10 and CRX25 collaborative robots, this allows us to handle packages up to 20kg at an optimal price.
  • Ability to stack traditional packages (cartons with flaps, wrap-around, shrink-wrap, bags, etc.) as well as discount packages (without top) and trays
  • Performance: up to 6 cycles per minute
  • Possibility of stacking dividers – rigid and flaccid (e.g., paper)
  • Possibility of stacking several packages in one movement (cycle)
  • Palletizing of packages up to 20kg
  • Stacking of pallets up to 2300mm high
  • Palletizers with 1 or 2 pallet slots
  • Support for EUR/EPAL, CHEP, industrial and other pallets
  • User-friendly interface
  • Automatic change of the pallet to be stacked after the first pallet has been stacked
  • Detection of the presence of a pallet and replacement of the pallet with a new one
  • Detection of the presence of spacers
  • Detection of loss of transferred packaging
  • Collision detection – both due to an actual collision with a human and, for example, a defective package closure
  • Can operate in refrigerated conditions

Optional components:

  • buffer conveyor
  • preparation and positioning station for picking products (for complex pallet stacking patterns and increased efficiency)
  • marking and labeling of packages

For whom cobot palletizing? Examples

  • Food industry, especially snacks, candy, baked goods,
  • Cosmetics industry
  • FMCG industry
  • Priviate Lables manufacturers
  • White Lables manufacturers
  • Plants with limited available space for new equipment
  • Medium and low capacity lines

HEXA collaborative stations can also act as depletizers. These are automatic devices that unload semi-finished products onto the production line. An excellent example is the depalletization of jars and cans for backfilling or pouring of product. Depalletizers can reach significant capacities, easily replacing 2 people performing the process manually.
